Just reading over some reviews and felt the need to say I love the pod, bit slapped together sometimes but I like the mix of interviews & random chats. I also think it’s ok they talk about their lifestyle. Their husband/mate is a world renown DJ. Of course they are partying. Of course they...Read full review »

My favorite podcast since I started listening! These two make me feel like I’m best friends with them, make being a twenty something girl feel hopeful instead of stressful, make me believe in love and friendship. Every episode is insightful, interesting, and so fun to listen

They are both great at bringing a community together, they have had some wonderful episodes and then some I’m just not interested in, which is fine, they are not all going to be for me. They definitely need to change direction, maybe have live questions, or maybe even a way to connect through...Read full review »

Ellidy with her constant interruptions and trying to finish Micks sentences was embarrassing!! Let the bloke tell his story for gods sake isn’t that why he’s On there?? Her disjointed interviewing style and inability to hold space makes for an incredibly cringeworthy episode and to be honest...Read full review »

They are really scrapping the barrel more and more every week. I’m sure these girls are good at many things but podcasting is not one of them.

The podcast that exists purely so the two hosts can have an income revenue. No depth or integrity whatsoever.

Honestly how do these two have a platform that is even remotely related to parenting? All they do is party and leave their poor kids at home with a nanny. Terrifying, to say the least. What a waste of time listening to the Dr Golly episode when they should have got the nanny on to ask questions.

It’s surely so hard to face the natural challenges of motherhood after the level of challenges and grief these women faced, but they seem to be promoting this super detached way of parenting which is a little heartbreaking to see, especially in Chloe parenting a newborn. It’s so important for...Read full review »

Honestly the worst show. These two have become so boring, couldn’t care less about their listeners and appear to be losing brain cells every week. Their lack of skill and talent screams from the episodes each week. It’s Instagram content in podcast form and it is NOT IT.
Podlovincriminal via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 10/30/24
I had to turn off the most recent episode, Ellidy drunk and swearing and discussing not much that would be interesting to anyone except maybe their friends? Would be better as a Q&A on instagram. Feels like the podcast needs a bit of a review or revamp.

Have been a listener since the start, some of the guest episodes are good but I cannot listen to the girls chat amongst themselves anymore. When ellidy spoke of dropping $3k at dinners…. 🤢 all the talk of money and designer clothes etc, it’s disgusting to hear about no matter how “well” you’ve...Read full review »

Please get it together. Is it really necessary to be recording whilst drunk. Perhaps a little more respect for your listeners? Ellidy was barely able to be understood; all she did was laugh and swear. This week’s episode felt like you were scraping the bottom of the barrel and it you only...Read full review »

Cracks me up that whenever there are honest 1 star reviews - all of a sudden one of your many friends (the only people you can get on the show) suddenly pop 5 star reviews on to disguise the fact no one really likes listening to you anymore. Just popping this here because honestly I don’t know...Read full review »

Such an honour to have listened to this pod for years and hear both of their journeys. As someone in the trenches of motherhood I love listening to the girl’s experiences of motherhood. Love their dynamic !

Love the girls, yes there is chaos and perhaps the interviews aren’t linear, but that’s a big reason I listen every week, I love the insight into their lives, the travel and experiences and how they manage parenthood etc, I don’t want to listen to a podcast about the ‘normal’ grind. Keep up the...Read full review »

Thank you Chloe and Ellidy! I love listening to all the episodes. I only started listening this year and I have almost caught up on all the episodes. Love the real and raw conversations they have!

Love this podcast! Always have, love every episode even if the topics are a bit all over the place. Big fan

It’s laughable listening to the girls whinge and complain about hard parenting is. Of course it is…You are wasted all the time! 😂
BB_Browse via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 10/15/24
I used to love this podcast and wait every week for it but now it’s just about their fancy lives and constantly going on extravagant holidays and bragging about it. Meanwhile the cost of living is actually effecting everyday Australians. Totally out of touch with the lives of the listeners.

Thought I’d get some tips on Bali but the wild ditziness and potty mouths are unbearable. Pass

A strangely addictive podcast, even though it’s a bit like a bad reality TV show. Chloe thinks she’s intelligent but just isn’t. Ellidy does have a few brain cells but downplays that. Their struggles aren’t real, but entertaining nonetheless!

Darling shine has been one of my favourite podcast since the first episode dropped. I love how both the girls are so honest and authentic. Loved the most recent ep with janey! Was a good change up from the usual topics 😊

Blind Freddy can see that the extreme tiredness, stress, exhaustion, emotions, mental health and memory loss that they speak about is connected to poor dietary choices, partying too much, consuming what party people consume, constantly being on the go and feeling the need to share everything on...Read full review »

Thought they had turned a corner with the Jaynee interview (which was fantastic btw) but no of course the girls are back, whinging about their privileges and unrelatable lives of the rich and famous. The girls are completely out of touch now, parading around the world flying in private jets and...Read full review »

Use to love this podcast in the early days but the massive shift from down to earth Aussie girl experiences to lifestyles of the rich and famous has made a lot of the podcast very superficial.

I used to love this pod, but of late, it’s seemed really out of touch and just rambling about what I am unsure

The girls have gotten totally out of touch and un-relatable.

You girls truly are amazing at what you do. I haven’t missed an episode - your content and honest chats inspire me so much. Keep being you, beautiful ladies 💛

Love the Janey interview! What a boss. Great to hear the millennial work ethic in full swing and motivating the next gen. Needed this for my day today! Keep this type of inspirational content coming.

Darling Shine started as a relatable and insightful podcast but seems to have shifted focus over the last few seasons. Chloe promoting sleep training in her stories is not it… feeding through the night at 3 months is developmentally normal for a baby!

Chloe complaining about her babe she made such a big deal about! Yet parties non stop. Distasteful

Always loved the podcast but am finding it too much. Complaining that your newborn is hard work after she was so longed for is a bit distasteful. I have a nanny myself and am all for it, but leaving a newborn to go out partying is a bit ick.

Some are good others miss the mark. Appreciate when they have hard conversations

Hi gals, please don’t listen to the loud minority. I’m in shock after reading only a couple of the below reviews. I find you both so inspiring. You’ve really been in the trenches the past few years. I used to be a big of fan of this podcast. I am glad to say I am no longer in their target audience. This has become shallow, unrelatable and unintelligible nonsense. I tried to hold on but it’s unbearable to listen to.

These 2 are boring bogans and extremely unrelatable in every way! They’re both swanning around on their husbands money pretending they have a purpose and a msg.
