Don't mistake this show for expertise!
Couldn't even get through the "Rom Com vs Real Life" episode. The perspective from the host and her partner are highly subjective and critical. Their views stem from generational ignorance. As someone who dated actively in the early 2000's and who read the book, "He's Just Not that Into You," I can confirm that the messaging of how men think and how they approached dating during that time is spot on. The film only highlights the reality of the time. What a wasted opportunity. This episode could have done a better service by talking about the book (instead of the film) and discussed how dating self-help has changed over the years. Unfortunately, the co-host of this episode undermines the integrity of the show and reinforces harmful male narratives. His critique of films does not make him an expert in dating. He has absolutely no business offering dating tips to a majoral female audience.Read full review »
