Production values matter
I suspect this is a good podcast. The content sounds fascinating and two journalists spent a year investigating what appears to be a dreadful miscarriage of justice. But I won't be listening. I gave it two episodes but the production values are so poor, the content is lost. Volumes change from one speaker to another, some people are so far away from the microphone they're voices are distorted, background noise has not been filtered down or out. Such a shame some professional sound engineering was not used and the reporters were not trained how to do recordings in the field.Read full review »

I have come back to this to try again. Last time I gave up after a few episodes because the sound quality is awful! This case is very interesting and very frustrating it wasn’t investigated properly at the time. No wonder the family are fighting so hard for this. I hope they get justice. Re editing: the recaps should be at the beginning so we can skip them if we want, rather than bits of repetition throughout...Read full review »

Narration is deadpan. I don’t understand why people don’t get vocal training. It lets down what could have been a good podcast.
