I do not "like" this podcast at all!!
I am the perfect candidate to adore this podcast. I love Slate, I love advice shows, and I love reading the Dear Prudence column. But I CANNOT STAND this podcast!! I hate to critic people's speech quirks, but the amount of times Mallory says "like" makes this podcast unlistenable to me. Seriously, if you took a shot of tequila every time she said "like" just in her response to the white couple who had an adopted black child, you would be passed out drunk by the time she finished speaking. I'll continue reading the column, but I just can't listen to the "likes" any longer.Read full review »

I look forward each week as Mallory and guest solve the world's problems through measured wit, generous compassion, and a healthy amount of "burn it all to the ground."Read full review »

I love the column but the podcast is pretty annoying. Sorry Mallory.

Mallory is hilarious, but also dispenses excellent advice with sensitivity and compassion. Episode 7 (with Carvell Wallace) is a standout. For me, this podcast is worth the price of Slate Plus.
