Great extension of the column
I was a huge fan of Dear Prudence when Emily Yoffe wrote the column and was devastated when she stepped down. I abandoned the column for a bit because I just didn't think there was any way I would be able to accept a new Prudence. But earlier this year I slowly started making my way back to the written column, and then when I got assigned several work trips that often required hours of flying, driving and killing time in airports, I decided to give the podcast a try and I'm so glad I did. It's a great extension of the column and really lets Mallory shine through. I also love her guests and the ways they interact and partner to solve problems. Occasionally I think she does have guests who are not super qualified to be giving advice, or are too quick to abandon their viewpoint when Mallory disagrees, but on the whole really enjoy it. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because of the Slate Plus nonsense. I do like Slate, but not enough to pay so much money to access everything and as a result I get less Prudence, which is just not fun for anyone.Read full review »

Insightful, witty, and entertaining! I would like to be her bff but will settle for this podcast.

This is pretty entertaining and I really like the host. I feel like the response to the question often goes on much longer than necessary though. Sometimes the host and guest wins up talking in circles.
