Lori Gottlieb--THANK YOU for helping me so much
I've been reading Lori Gottlieb for years now and her latest book, MAYBE YOU SHOULD TALK TO SOMEONE has been incredibly comforting and therapeutic to me during COVID. I always read her "Dear Therapist" column in the Atlantic on Monday and find that she gives great techniques that I can actually use in my own life, like this week she suggested that when spouses (or any duo) get into a fight with opposing perspectives that you can role play the other person's position out loud to help develop empathy for what they are feeling and experiencing that you may not have understood. This is what I need from therapy--actionable strategies that help me move through conflicts and tough emotions in my life. I'm out walking a lot now during COVID summer and so a Lori Gottlieb podcast is pretty much the best thing that could happen for me. The first podcast is immediately helpful, and I'm so excited to be able to actually listen to these sessions each week. Thank you Lori Gottlieb (and therapist partner) for all the good you are putting out into the world.Read full review »

More reviews of Dear Therapists with Lori Gottlieb and Guy Winch
Thank you for creating such an insightful podcast! I can’t wait for more episodes to release. Lori and Guy are so good at pulling out themes and helping the “patient” process them. Lisa Mustard
