“What started out as a passion project to explore the technologies that decouple human progress from environmental destruction quickly devolved into a sustained attempt to paint nuclear as a miracle technology being held back by "the Green“ Left" and "radiophobia" while denigrating so called "weather dependent" (renewable energy) technologies as ineffective and a threat to civilisation through “grid fragilization”.
Keefer rarely tackles the key issues holding back the development of the nuclear industry, being high costs (often exceeded) and long build times (also often exceeded), in the face of tough competition from rapidly evolving low cost and quick-to-deploy renewable energy technologies.
The show has a blind spot for the rapidly evolving and exponentially growing renewable energy sector, frequently repeats false tropes from the annals of nuclear advocacy and too often provides an uncritical platform for climate deniers and delayers, presumably on the principle that the enemy of your enemy is your friend.
Despite this, the show hosts some interesting guests and it is entertaining to follow Keefer, an affable emergency room physician, as he transforms from an openminded amateur into a nuclear zealot increasingly frustrated by the realization that the political and economic preconditions for the 1970s embrace of nuclear energy in the west are so far from the present day reality.”Read full review »

“Lots of amazing interviews within Nuclear power space. Unfortunately there are also interviews with misinformation authors like Michael Shellinberger.”
