“I made the Tofu Coconut Cream Pie and it was beyond awful. I have never made a tofu-based pie before and was hoping this would be a good non-dairy dessert. All I tasted and smelled was this strong beany tofu flavor. I kept adding sugar and vanilla and coconut, even some lemon juice, to help kill the bean smell/flavor but nothing worked. It didn't taste like coconut at all. It just tasted like mashed beans. Blech. Luckily I had a jello no bake cheesecake mix in the pantry. I made that with a can of coconut milk. Much better!”
