Well worth the time
Fantastic pod cast. Fantastic! It is a great balance of hearing others play through classic games and discuss their findings and experience mixed with a unique developer’s perspective. While at points diving into some technicalities, overall the cast is neither overly technical nor aimed only at developers or IT people. Brett and Tim give very interesting and clear insights into the big picture of these games that allow you to see the ideas behind them in other games. I’m confident any lover of these specific games being discussed or anyone interested in how game development has progressed, not simply from a technical aspect but from the concepts behind the games themselves, will find themselves looking forward to the next episode.

More reviews of Dev Game Club
Lovely series that has veteran game developers go in-depth on one particular game over numerous episodes. These guys go into issues regarding player agency, level design and world building.
