First week of school is in the books and both dads did not find their way back into a routine easily. Evan took the first day photo after school and Kevin spent the night in the ER with his oldest. Evan's kid is back in braces trying to get the teeth in his mouth in order, because as we all know, the mouth is the floor of the nose. Also, Kevin decides to lay down the reading hammer on two kids who just got home from a full day of camp while Evan scares his already anxious oldest into thinking he might be headed to jail.

On this episode, Kevin questions whether or not he's pushing his kids hard enough in their extracurriculars and also why Evan has never asked him to play piano for him. Also, Evan almost crushes his children in a outdoor movie screen while Kevin digs himself into a hole at the beach.

Evan has screen time guilt that has been quelled by the kids heading to camp. Kevin faces the Palm Desert heat with a Chuck E Cheese, a free soda and an overwhelmed car AC. Meanwhile Evan's wife has an unprecedented Dumb Mom Moment doing a late night cleaning sesh (so was it dumb or was it stressed), while Evan has a legitimate Dumb Dad Moment putting away groceries, but failing to finish the job.

Evan is feeling better about this week of summer, of course it's only Tuesday. Meanwhile, Kevin is burning through ten minute activities with his kids - mostly involving water balloons. Evan discovers a crispy piece of trail mix might have in fact been dental work and Kevin causes a doctor's office scheduling mishap on his last day of health insurance coverage. Oh my. 

Summer is in full swing and Evan is already in it with ear tubes, teeth coming in every which way, and travel. Meanwhile, Kevin narrowly escapes rollercoaster trauma at Legoland. While Kevin's family walks out of the theme park taking a big L his 5 year old can't let go of, Evan is turning into an old man with a candy pocket.
