Jon explained how bad McDonald's is, yet allows his kids to eat there and called it a treat. Then there's a dunkin donuts promo during the show. Cognitive dissonace. I've always enjoyed eat this, not that articles but I don't think I'll give this show another spin. Tell the...Read full review »

How are you going to make a podcast about eating well, and have ads for Dunkin breakfast... What happened to not eating processed foods?

This is by far my favorite ever podcast and I wait anxiously for it each week. So so so disappointed that they are making any changes at all. I think it is perfect exactly the way it is.

Stopped listening as soon as you mentioned the EWG Dirty Dozen and Clean 15 lists. Those lists are pure fear-mongering and not backed by scientific evidence. EWG is funded by the organic food industry and they are complete biased. You should know better than to spread such false info and have...Read full review »

Love the podcast, very helpful tips for someone like me looking to loose weight. I would love you to do an episode about chips. I love chips and crunchy snacks and would love tips on a healthy alternative that still has that chip enjoyability

I have just recently binged everyone of your episodes. I am really enjoying this podcast. I have always struggled with my weight and like many have misguidedly tried to “diet“, and not adopt healthy lifestyle changes. Being a physician, I don’t tolerate mythology, inflated claims, or folks that...Read full review »

I only listened to one episode and quickly unsubscribed. Please do not listen to these people re: conventional vs. organic as they are spreading misinformation. Consult an educated dietician. Anyone who cites the Environmental Working Group (a for-profit activist group) as a source is not reputable.

Loved this episode but it left me totally confused about what kind of eggs to buy. You never really gave a recommendation. I’m going to say that out of all, free range is probably still the best option. But I’m confused by the podcast that buying the cheapest eggs without claims such as “cage...Read full review »

I know it is a fake food they dye is maple color and put MAPLE FLAVOR in it. The real stuff is very expensive because it takes 40 gars of sap to make 1 gar. Believe it or not the less dark is more sweeter and the darker the more bitter. Ppl get the sap from a tap. To get the sweet sap it needs to...Read full review »

3/17/19 Re Podcast on supermarket survival: still can’t stand your personal lobbying, this time for Bobs Red Mill. It’s a brand I like, but I’m suspicious of your claim that you eat that oatmeal every morning. For how long? And how long will that continue. Insert a real advertisement. I want to love this podcast, they talk about so many great subjects and offer really great information. However, I am having trouble getting past the “um, like, you know...” and constantly repeating words on the part of the male host. So many filler words it actually became a distraction and I...Read full review »

Great show on the Paleo diet. Extremely informative and like the hosts, I thought this was just another low-carb diet. Still don’t know if I’m going to try it but really gave me something to think about. Well done!

Really enjoy this podcast! The hosts seem real and down-to-earth, and there are some great takeaways from each episode. Love this podcast. I like the format and I buy Bobs Redmill. Thanks for doing this! If anything I could suggest 2 -20 minutes podcasts a week? Maybe a recipe teaser to a website to investigate? The first few episodes had some good tips but now it seems like they spend more time doing ad reads than actually discussing anything.

Some of the content is decent, but as others have pointed out, Zincenko may want to send these guys to a vocal coach. The constant “likes”, uptalk and Co-host interruption is a bit much.

Funandfitness via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 09/17/18
The topics are interesting and helpful and segments not long. Would like to suggest that the host let his co-host and/or his guest talk more, tends to monopolize the discussion.

It literally sounds like these two are reading off the internet. Does not sound genuine and comes off as snobbish. John is constantly talking over Megan. This podcast went downhill three episodes in.

Great show. Wish it were longer in length. Both hosts should be mindful of speaking in their “low register”. The vocal fry is annoying.
Trek Mum via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 07/04/18
Would be far better podcast if Jon would cut back on monopolizing discussion with his anecdotes and spend more time relating more details on topics; also maybe throw in some carb counts on occasion for us diabetic listeners; so to sum it up, less hubris and more facts!
carbocounter via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 07/02/18
Please stop interrupting and cutting off the woman when she’s trying to speak. It’s extremely frustrating and annoying to the viewer. Also, there are too many commercials for such a short podcast.

This is my first and probably last podcast review, but I’ve got to say this. I enjoy the info bc I undoubtedly hear something I learn for the first tine or which gives me a new perspective on healthy living. The COMMERCIALS are my pet peeve!!! Out of the 20 minute cast I had to endure 10 minutes of repeating commercials. It’s a real deterrent.
Missmuffetn3 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/20/18
I actually really like the podcast but for being 15-20 minutes and half of that is commercials, it becomes something I am not interested in listening too. I understand the need for commercials but it shouldn’t make up 50% of the show’s time!
AW83008 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/14/18
I love learning about food science/food health, and every single episode title is so interesting to me! Unfortunately, I can never get into the opening banter that the hosts drag out, and the episodes are never truly about the topic at hand.

I really value the info this podcast has to offer but all we get each episode could be relayed in 10 mins, and the rest of the time is spent on drawing it out and on advertisement. I really like this podcast and the information it shares. I think it is informative and great. However, about half of every episode is just commercials for their sponsors and while I understand that is necessary, it is very frustrating and annoying.

I think this was the best podcast so far. The previous podcasts seemed to be just one big long infomercial for hawking products. You have a lot of great information. Instead of reminding us how great Bob’s Red Mill is again and again-stay with the subject at hand. Peace!
