Ignorant view on Irelands independence and the great hunger
It is made out that Ireland couldn’t stand on its own two feet after gaining independence but in fact Ireland got along just fine and the troubles were partly because of Great Britain treating the Irish like barbarians just as is this podcast does the famine was not at all Irelands fault and was almost entirely caused by the fact that Britain were sucking up all Irish agricultural produce and feeding their own citizens and leaving the entire population of Ireland apart from the British landowners to starve thus killing almost 20% of the Irish population
