“I began to listen to Explaining History a few weeks ago, having decided to give something other than books a try. For the sake of brevity I will simply say that I have found this podcast to be a revelation. Mr Shepley often quotes his (highly credible) sources for further reading and even answered some of my queries by e-mail.
The podcast contains many themes that help listeners to relate the present world to the past and therefore to better navigate both à la fois. I understand that a number of prior podcasts are presently unavailable due to a lack of server space, but have been informed that this will be resolved in the near future.
