“I'm an ordinary person, but I have major depressive disorder and generalized anxiety disorder. I have recently sought help at from a therapist and in my research I found this podcast. The concepts within are not exactly a replacement for actual therapy, but combined with CBT they have been very effective at changing my mindset and improving my symptoms.
I also went out and purchased the 1999 edition of the book and I have to say I'm having a wonderful time with it.
If you do the exercises Dr. Burns teaches then you will almost certainly begin to feel better when you *find the one that works for you*.
Each person is different, but you *can* find some relief from your depression. I highly suggest this podcast to anyone looking to find out more about CBT or the TEAM method, or anyone with depression/anxiety wishing to try other techniques to improve their symptoms.”Read full review »
