Finally, film critics with balls
My unfortunate headline aside, I wanted to add my voice to the chorus of love for Sam and Adam. They seem to have exactly the right, realistic take on judging, praising and flaming films in an era where most film cirtics are content to critique marketing campaigns, actor's private lives or hone hacky stand-up routines. They have the self-confidence to assert their opinions without acting like you're an idiot if you don't agree. They talk without bloviating. As a former critic (you're shocked I'm sure) it's so nice to find two guys who cut through to what the field is indivisibly based on: subjective love of films. They try to persuade you to their points without acting as though there is some objective standard. Now if it could only have more fisticuffs.Read full review »

This is the best film podcast i've heard and I am certainly compelled to listen every week. Adam and Sam always have insightful opinions and also pay a lot of attention to their audience. The marathons are also good for helping you to discover new films.Read full review »
