I live in Australia and count down the days until Christy has a new podcast. I have - for over 30 years (since I was 12) - had an eating disorder of some form (anorexia, bulimia, anorexia again…) and this podcast resonates with me on so many levels. Christy’s probing yet always sensitive questions results in amazingly insightful interviews with her guests (who, may I see, are stellar). Christy’s empathy is outstanding. Even today as I listened to the most recent podcast in my car I heard Christy gasp at what a nurse had said to her guest in hospital which could have triggered her guest. Christy’s insight into the role health care professionals play in either failing to diagnose an ED or actually making an ED even worse aligns with my own experience. I can’t thank Christy enough for these podcasts and am so grateful I found Food Psych.
