🎵So Good, So Bright, It’s all I need….🎵 (From a song by Jacob Collier, with somewhat edited lyrics) This podcast is absolutely amazing. It is the best podcast I’ve listened to in a long long time. Usually I do not go for the story podcasts, preferring informative ones, but this just blew me...Read full review »

I’m on my third listen. I love all three parts—fiction, sounds, and science/philosophy. Thank you, BBC.

Incredibly cutting edge, even the format of having the fictional podcast coupled with a conversation with an expert in a specific field they correlates with the story.

I really wanted to listen to this, but it revolves around a recording of someone whistling the same 10 second melody over and over again off key. It was deeply irritating because of sound sensitivity issues, and even thought the story seemed really engaging I couldn’t make it past the first 15...Read full review »

I really enjoyed this series. I listen to tons of audio drama podcast. This one was really well acted. The sound quality was excellent. The story line was so interesting and different, I can see this story becoming an excellent movie series or tv series.

This podcast is amazing. At so many levels. It takes a bit to get into it, so stay with it. I just loved the structure of it, three parts to each part , and how they work together. I also love the story and the discussion on the human. The podcast is just pure brilliant. But the sound! The sound...Read full review »

To make this clever story shine, listen with headphones. The triple episode style is brilliant. There’s a lot packed into this little space.

I heard about Forest 404 at a podcasting conference, where there was discussion about how it combines science fiction and science, in a way that keeps audiences coming back for the story and learning about the world around is at the same time. Initially I was intimidated by the format and was...Read full review »

This show is so good it’s hard to believe it’s real. Futuristic Dystopian Scifi Eco Survivalism with Intrigue. Plus essays about sound. Plus soundscapes. Every second is an adventure in sound, taking the listener to new people and places. I hope this podcast informs other creators to take risks...Read full review »

This is one of the best podcasts I have heard. 3 parts every week. A sci-fi story of AI destroying our world. A fascinating and Inciteful talk about our world and our future and a beautiful soundscape. I am hooked. And Blueginger below is the reason we need podcasts like this.

As far as the storyline goes, it’s fairly simple, but what’s cool are the extra episodes that more fully flesh out the themes. Really enjoyed this, & tree-huggers will love it :)

This was an amazingly well-designed show. Creating a future landscape out of nothing but sound requires creativity and innovation and this show delivers. Amazing voice acting and storytelling that’ll leave you elated and a heartbroken all at once. Absolutely excellent show.

Old science; nothing revolutionary here despite its put-upon pride. The soundtracks are the primary thing worth listening to, but they’re nothing more special than can be found on any nature or sleep app.
SnowHare0376 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 07/02/19
This high quality ensemble of drama, fact and soundscape is a triumph of media production. The performances are compelling and the story well-paced and original. I was slowly drawn in and felt exactly the melancholy that the piece demands. Perfect use of the podcast genre. What great work.

So thought provoking. Found episode containing how the “slow world” ended particularly disturbing. You can actually believe it all possible. Would love to have this on cd to keep - or may be a record would be better! Have been recommending listening to this to everyone I know.
