Buffer reads
I have been listening to this podcast for a couple of months after hearing Annie on What Should I read Next. I am really enjoying these book discussions because they are actual discussions. Memorable episodes have included Roxanne Gay and grief literature. The most recent episode started out defining "palette cleansers" which were more aptly renamed as buffer books. You just get the feeling that there is a real give and take even though it is a podcast. I wish I could visit The Bookshelf!Read full review »

Annie is a consistent voice and brings in other Bookshelf staff (and her family) to talk about books from a variety of angles. I have really enjoyed listening to this podcast every week! Annie is a wonderful host, and I have gotten so many great book recommendations. I also really enjoy the conversations on the South and small-town living.
