When the dialog is interrupted, it’s impossible to figure out if it’s a programming cut to supporting content or an ad

I have been listening to this podcast while getting ready for work for well over a year now. The stories and interesting and the podcast is the perfect length. It’s refreshing to listen to such a young woman reporting the news so well. Jayme’s replacements have been great but I still can’t wait...Read full review »

I have noticed A LOT of same daily conversation on this podcast that Michael Barboro discusses on NYT The Daily. Michael gives a tease everyday on IG for the next day’s show. Is that just a coincidence that you guys have same subject to discuss? You guys are doing great as well. Thanks for this...Read full review »

Great host, great coverage. I listen to this on the daily. I wonder if like me, much of the audience listens to The Daily? If so, then perhaps take into consideration the repeat overlapping of topics.

Will Jayme be back?

Piya is hands down the worst host I’ve ever heard. She literally can’t get a complete sentence out!!! Her questions and manner are completely amateur. Someone save the show !! Production has gone down hill, long reels of pre-recoded clips likely to limit the hosts air time because she just simply...Read full review »

This is my go to every morning... they pick one issue and delve into it in depth every day, which is great in an era of sound bytes and headlines. As the coronavirus lockdowns happened I realized how comforting Jayme had become to me! I was disappointed she would be off for awhile but Piya is...Read full review »

This is a great pod, and one that Canada needs to keep people informed but the new host unfortunately falls short, and her ability to interview is lacking at times. Asking a journalist about Toronto police brutality protests “so Minneapolis is looming large eh?”, you think??

Piya, you’re doing great!

Been a lister of the podcast for months but the episode about Joe Rogan cherry picks information like nothing I’ve ever listened too. They take quotes out of context none stop and act like he is never joking. This episode is terrible journalism and made me question the legitimacy of other episodes.

A world view that consists mostly at looking down one’s nose rather than actually asking questions or sharing information. Even when I agree, it still makes me feel like this just feeds into CBC stereotypes.

I listen to a lot of podcasts when I do my tasks throughout the day, and front burner does an amazing job of making their stories interesting and asking their guests relevant questions. It really helps me get a more in-depth view of the most important headlines.

This is an excellent Canadian News podcast and something I had been looking for for a while. It quickly replaced the daily by the New York Times for me. Jayme Poisson’s tone and lead are just great.

I really like listening to Jayme Poisson and Front Burner. However, today’s episode started with who I thought was our Prime Minister plugging for Telus. The actor is clearly trying to emulate Justin Trudeaus manner of speaking. He has the same quality of voice and intonation. Has anyone else...Read full review »

Your interviews are great! But please stop inserting (often overheard) sound bites that cut off the interviewee mid-sentence. This happens countless times in most episodes. They really distract and make for poor audio continuity.

I love this podcast but I got bored of all the COVID news. Please do something else. It gets boring. No hate, just a suggestion! Peace! 😙✌️

I liked this podcast when topics offered variety. Coronavirus is really getting old. Surely, there is another topic that can be explored? Enough with the low hanging fruit.

Harder questions needed here. Dr. Bococh underplaying Canada’s lack of preparedness. There is a serious lack of tests. I will write in with what I’m seeing on the ground. This guys has really no idea. And closing borders does help.

The idea and topics of each episode keep up with current issues in Canada. However, this podcast often only paints a one sided picture of the story - needs more objectivity and facts rather then opinions

I love the topics of this podcast, but the sound quality and interviews feel quite amateur- not CBCs usual high quality. It’s great to have a Canadian focused podcast On the other hand, instead of yet another episode on rail blockades and oil sands, how about one or two on the state of the education system?
