Jamie I’ve been enjoying the “new direction” you’ve been taking Front Burner and your guests. Thanks KHF-Big Fan Albuquerque , NM USA

I keep trying to come back, but podcast gets worse and worse. Way too focused on US issues and trying desperately too hard to try to be The Daily podcast. There are plenty of US news outlets that cover American issues MUCH better than this horrible, ameatuer hack Jaymie can. This isn’t...Read full review »

Does this show still cover Canada or what? Disappointing. If I want US news there are a million better options.

Would prefer to hear Canadian News stories. Feel like Front Burner is disproportionately focused on 2 issues: US elections and Israel. Important to report on, but not solely. Also Jaime deserves a raise she’s a talented interviewer.

Hey Front Burner, I really like your show, but I would love to see more Indigenous content. Indigenous news is Canada’s news and all of us need to bring the important issues impacting Indigenous Canadians to the forefront. Don’t keep Indigenous issues on the “back burner”! There are plenty of US news outlets that cover American issues MUCH better than this hack Jaymie can lol. Stick to Canadian issues with odd global issue; replace host permanently! She can’t even form a question!

I have been listening to Front Burner for a number of years and observed a steady trend toward reporting based on advocacy and activism rather than a program that presents unbiased, objective information. I’m no longer able to differentiate between opinion or fact as information is selectively...Read full review »

I have been listening to Frontburner, mostly on & a little off, for years. The quality of the journalism, especially recent coverage on current Canadian events and political matters has been excellent - and I enjoy many of the lighter, culture focused episodes as well when the news of the...Read full review »

Let me first say I love Front Burner and listen regularly. However, I found myself so triggered by Arno Kopeokey’s commentary during this podcast. Trotting out the government talking points about 80% of Canadians getting back more than they pay in tax and the other part about the tax not having...Read full review »

So disappointed again and again. Israel just committed a gross undeniable act of terrorism in Lebanon and you give them a platform to defend it. Where is the outrage? The cbc is a joke.

Throughly enjoyed and learned so much from this episode.

Love the podcast but I find it covers more American news than actually Canadian news these days.

The economy of Canada is fuelled in large part by fossil fuels. Is it possible Carney is at the Liberal retreat to actually discuss how to wean our country off of it without destroying the economy. Just like he has said?

Good podcast and been listening for years, but I find the interstitial music really irritating. Can you just play the conversation without interspersing it with dramatic violins every couple of minutes?

Although I’m more interested in American events, Jayme Poisson provides a sobering analysis and even tempered discussions of events that I really enjoy even if the focus is on Canadian events. Armine Yalzinyan is one of my favorite guests- she explains economic policy beautifully

Not sure why this exists other than CBC to again fail to justify its relevance — and prove that it hates the Jews. This podcast is just a poor imitation of The Daily podcast with less original journalism, more 2nd/3rd tier guests and a less charismatic host.
Astrocyte123 via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 08/26/24
This would be a great podcast if the CBC was neutral. Until then 1/5.

I’ve listened to this show for years as a Canadian version of the Daily. However, recently I have become fed-up with how biased the coverage is towards the Liberal party and how many of the stories focus on Ontario and Quebec. Canada’s political system is bigger than one party and Canada as a...Read full review »

Save your time on this one — apologist to supporters of terrorism and facts are not researched. The host says she wants listeners to have the right information but her misinformation is only corrected when called out by the guest. Hard to trust going forward.

Really enjoyed the interview with Dominic Carty. Probably the longest front burner episode to date at almost 40 minutes. A very worthy conversation on the state of politics in Canada and where directions for change may lie ahead. One gripe though is just leave the Palestinian numbers topic...Read full review »

I used to find this podcast refreshingly objective and informative, however it’s become completely biased. It’s become clear the sole purpose of this show is now to push the Liberal agenda.

Used to like this podcast. It represents the view of the extreme left of Canada, not mainstream Canadian views. I’m progressive (very socially liberal views) and it’s become too extreme, especially with the Middle East conflict. This CBC podcast should not be Canadian funded, this is not a...Read full review »

I listen to this podcast daily, for the past 10 years, along NPR , NYT and Aljazeera… it’s just really evident I need to listen to this news commentary with a grain of salt when it comes to Middle East issues and the current genocide in Palestine. Love the show, listen everyday along with NY times daily. Small criticism is sometimes guests make derogatory comments about “right” issues (guests being other reporters). It’s a failure of objective journalism. NY times daily are less prone to these slights, Frontburner has room to grow.

Other podcasts have ads but they are geared to podcasts. These are like horrible radio ads especially the spec savers. I can’t listen to it. If I can’t fast forward then I don’t listen to podcast. This show has dwindled down the drain into a purely pro-Palestinian, disturbing rendering of what they think a news outlet “should” be. The guest this morning Arielle Angel, was a horrible choice for a guest.
