I’ve listened to the Wired podcast (Gadget Lab) for years. This new podcast is great. My one request is PLEASE find a way to shoehorn a recommendations section in (you can call it something different & pretend it’s not a legacy from the old pod - I won’t tell anyone!) I’ve learnt &...Read full review »

If you’re interested in thinking and learning, don’t bother with this podcast.

I really enjoyed your most recent two shows, RTO and Living Forever. Both of these were topics that were discussed in my house prior to my finding your podcast. Right now I especially like that while there is ‘some’ politics there is not a lot. I haven’t browsed through all of your shows and...Read full review »

I say this to save time for the people who complain about a podcast that will necessarily get political and then complain that the podcast has a political leaning and framework through which to interpret the world. Bias does not mean non-factual. You cannot do anything with mere facts. To make...Read full review »

I am a long-time Gadget Lab listener, and I looked forward to your transition to a new and broader scope. I confess that I am disappointed with your first two episodes. To put this in context, I should say that I am an early-stage Boomer. So, I am probably not your target audience. From time to...Read full review »

It’s fresh, insightful and accessible - the new format that really hits the sweet spot! Looking forward to more episodes and if you haven’t given it a listen already, I’d totally recommend!

Zoe Schiffer is a great addition. The show is the next best thing to eavesdropping in a coffee shop. Enjoyed the debut!

I was looking forward to a new show from Wired. As a long time print subscriber I was expecting to see the same fun tone but serious journalism I appreciate from the magazine. I was thoroughly disappointed in the baseless speculation of what Mark Zuckerbergs clothing tells us about him....Read full review »

The topics are usually interesting, but Michael is unbearable. Director of culture who barely participates in culture and tech podcast that almost never seems excited about tech.

I’ve always found tech interesting as it’s really how we’ve been evolving for the better part of human history. Tech can be overwhelming for someone not au fait in the subject, but I find the subjects covered and the way they are presented very easy to get behind without feeling like it’s being...Read full review »

Between the annoying fry and the lazy made-up answers (“I get the sense that…”) to fact-seeking questions…I just can’t.

I wish I had friends that were as nerdy and cool as Lauren and Mike that I could hang out with once a week!

I had no idea Wired had a Podcast. I love listening to the commentators. Wired has very articulate and intelligent editors, journalists, and guest experts in their particular fields of comment.

Lauren and Mike are super accessible for even those of us who are out of the loop with tech but want a splash of the latest information and discoveries. I really enjoy this one. Lauren and Mike regularly talk about what I’m thinking and reading about anyway, but they’re smarter and have more information. Also, Lauren’s pronunciation of “button” brings back CT memories. I had a 4th grade teacher who would respond to the same with “Whaddayou, from...Read full review »

Been listening to you for years, you’re my favorite podcast! An unremittingly sound source of weekly tech, culture, and unrestrained fun. Thanks for all you do, and not least, for being the wholesomest “bunch of English majors”. Much gratitude and respect from Edinburgh, Scotland

I usually hate podcasts where two people know each other very well, crack inside jokes, laugh at stupid things etc. However, this one is truly funny. I think the hosts are just smart people with good emotional intelligence level. The topics are interesting and relevant. I will keep listening.

I recently turned 30 and realized I’ve hit the point in my life where I’m less focused on nonsense and “fluff” on the internet and instead wanted to shift my focus on more real-world news and topics. I have been listening to your podcast for the past two years, it is a welcome treat to my commute! For Michael Calore, if you have not read ‘The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto’ I strongly recommend. 1. Best book ever, 2. Brought me back to music.

This is easily one of the best tech shows. Not only do they cover gadgets, but also the social impact of technology. I absolutely love the weekly recommendations at the end.

Now former listener her. They have a very tenuous grasp on their own concept. Too many episodes that aren’t about gadgets or tech. For example the reasoning for The Case of the Not Stolen AirPods, was that because a court proceeding happened involving AirPods it was fair game to be on Gadget Lab....Read full review »

Been listening to this show for about two years. Just listened to the future of Hollywood episode, and I felt compelled to leave a review saying that all the journalism majors (and non-journalism majors) at wired are people *who* do know things about tech!

LOOK! Hey, Gadget Lab. Please, let me start by saying - this is easily a 5 star show. I absolutely love the topics, the host’s friendship-chemistry is incredible, and the audio is wonderful! I’m really into the material — tech, platforms, phones, streaming, etc. — but the hosts don’t have the personality and expertise that I expect from Wired and that I get from The Verge, The Ringer, Puck, etc., podcasts.

I was listening to this year‘s review of the consumer-electronics show, and the host said that all of the sleep apnea studies that have been done are on men. So why go to CES to deride products? Surely there were many products deserving of mention not derision, hearing aids for example. The rest, if not most of this pod, was a 30 something giggle-fest. At least we were spared Lauren's vocal fry. Sadly this podcast mirrors the decline of the magazine.Read full review »

Over the years this podcast has really fallen off the wagon, the hosts seem to hate the content they cover as part of their job. They frequently bring so much snark to what they’re covering (ie “it’s time to talk about X. Ugh do we have to??”), why even bother?
