If you only have time for one RPG podcast . . .
As a veteran D&D DM of 25 years, I spent a lot of time perusing the internet to find a podcast for my relatively short work commute that was consistently engaging and got me thinking about the game in new ways. After several disappointing finds, I came upon Game Master's Journey and finally found something that fit the bill. As a homebrew setting writer, I have found a lot of inspiration in the worldbuilding episodes as we followed the host, Lex Starwalker, as he walked through his own process. The recent episodes breaking down the D&D 5th Edition Player's Handbook chapter by chapter have been a wonderful refresher on the rules--so much so that I made my own PCs listen to a few of the episodes where some of the finer points of the combat and skill checks were deconstructed. In all, Lex's delivery is consistent and organized, the episodes well-produced and well-edited, and the content keeps a good pace with little filler. And the Google Plus community is a nice added bonus where you can talk with a lot of other GMs and Lex himself on the finer points of game mastering and game mastery. I'd recommend this podcast to game masters of all experience and skill levels. And definitely make your player-characters listen to the Player's Handbook episodes . . . you'll thank Lex later for it.Read full review »

I've been listening to Lex since the GM Intrusion days and really think the more open and general format is perfect allowing him to look at different games and resources that can make us all better behind the screen.Read full review »

Lex has some great ideas about the RPGs that are available and some fantastic advice for GMs to put into practice at their gaming table.

This is the best podcast for DMs you will find. The audio quality is fantastic and the content quality is as good as it gets. Give it a listen if you have any interest on DM your own games as well as Worldbuilding.
