Glen and Drew are the charming hosts of Gayest Episode Ever, a podcast that digs into gay episodes with wit, vigor and thoughtfulness. I always enjoy the show and spending an hour or so with these fellows. Thanks, guys!

Drew, one of the hosts, asked people to rate the show on Spotify to get the score up to a 4.9 (he did it much more charmingly than I’m explaining it here). To do so I re-listened to two old episodes there (even though I use apple podcast app) in order for the system to let me leave a rating. The...Read full review »

i look forward to this every week. it’s fun, educational and full of tidbits. thanks to our sultry hosts, people get more insight into sitcoms & how they’ve evolved. i’m looking forward to the spin-off podcast about queer hour long dramas.

Embarrassed I’ve only recently discovered it but absolutely love hearing their thoughts on shows I’ve seen and even the ones I haven’t. It’s a moral failing on your part if you don’t listen to this podcast

Always entertaining and enlightening and only occasionally snarky. As a straight guy with a tv obsession I am always excited when a new episode pops up on my feed!

I love every episode I’ve listened to (I still have lots of catching up to do). I particularly enjoy the Cartoons that Made Us Gay series and appreciate that the hosts cover both popular and obscure shows.

I stumbled upon this podcast by accident a few years ago and it has been a wonderful trip down memory lane. I remember the original airings of many of the episodes profiled and their importance in helping me to understand the man I was becoming. The hosts’ commentary is candid, thought-provoking,...Read full review »

I’m definitely not the target demographic (50 yr old straight mom in Vancouver, Canada) but, welp - here I am! This is my favourite podcast. Not even sure how I found it, but very glad I did! I appreciate the deep dive into various corners of television as well as pop culture. Super well...Read full review »

Top-tier podcast: thoroughly researched, diverse subject matter, and engaging hosts. The upcoming episode about Amen is a fascinating look at how the private lives of the stars can inform how we view the show.

This podcast is amazing, I listen to every episode whether I know what the show is or not, and I always come away having learned more about lgbt history and the history of television.

I have been listening for awhile and it’s always, for me, a great trip back to my gay youth watching tv and getting lost in the great world of sitcoms and pop culture. The hosts, even though they are slightly younger then myself, and sometimes don’t have the same fondness for certain shows or...Read full review »

I found this show thanks to Matt Baume's Youtube videos, and after listening to a few episodes, I fell in love with it. I also came out as bisexual around the same time; so coincidence? You decide. Honestly, I really do love the show and appreciate the effort Drew and Glen put to giving the...Read full review »

I love vicariously viewing these old shows through Glen and Drew. Thanks for watching Friends and dissecting it for me to enjoy -- I get to have the nostalgia without ever having to rewatch a problematic episode.

This is JonJamesM (from Patreon). I don’t have any Apple products or services so I am using my roommates’ account to rate and review! I thoroughly enjoy listening to Drew and Glen as they take deep dives into gay episodes of new and old sitcoms. They cover a wide breadth of shows, and I listen...Read full review »

Drew and Glen have a great vibe together, and that extends to their guests as well. Drew really captains the ship, and my adoration for him only grows over the years. The attention to detail and sensitivity for their content is really exceptional. And it’s fun!

My desert island podcast. My comfort food. The thing that actually makes me want to walk the dog and fold the laundry. I’ve listened to nearly every episode twice and a third can’t be far away. The magic formula of the show is having two writers as hosts. One - the journalist - does the deep...Read full review »

Drew and Glen do an amazing job of dissecting the sitcoms we all grew up with and discussing their relevance in pop culture and gay history. Perfect mix of information and analysis, with some of the best host chemistry in the biz. I’m someone who doesn’t like trying new podcasts, but I’m glad I tried this one. Drew and Glen will feel like family the second you turn it on.

I don't have anything clever to say other than this podcast is a regular delight in my podcast feed. Drew and Glen do a great job analysing gay episodes of TV both overt and subtextual and even the episodes where they simply discuss weird episodes are great listening. One of the most well-researched television podcasts. The also have guests who bring perspectives that the hosts may not be able to bring to the discussion (e.g. trans guests to discuss a transgender reading of a sitcom episode). They also don’t shy away from problematic trends (e.g. lack of...Read full review »

GEE is a hilarious and informative podcast that goes beyond nostalgia porn. Some of my favorite episodes are from sitcoms I've never even seen. The hosts, Glen and Drew, have great chemistry and their humorous verbal altercations and fun non-sequitors are a joy to listen to. I cackle every...Read full review »

After listening to hundreds of episodes and developing a *very* strong and possibly unhealthy parasocial relationship with the hosts, Glen and Drew, I still can’t reliably match their names to their voices. That said, by delving deep into the sitcom archive, they manage to limn the shifting...Read full review »

I really appreciate this podcast and how thorough you research the episodes you review! I’ve learned so much! Would you ever review Noah’s Arc? This is a wonderful podcast for anyone who is interested in pop culture! Even when the episode is about a show I’ve never heard of, the podcast is always interesting and I always learn something new. The hosts have a great rapport with each other and are very entertaining.

Highly informative and entertaining. Can’t recommend enough Drew and Glenn do an awesome job of pulling out the nuances of classic television through a queer perspective. I always learn something new Drew does a great job in research for each episode.

I’m a big fan of Glen and Drew. They bring a critical eye to the episodes and are not afraid to disagree with each other, which I appreciate. They balance each other quite nicely as hosts. My favorite episodes cover NBC sitcoms. Review over. Bye forever!

Anything to do with media analysis is awesome in my book. You guys give really nice in depth commentary on these episodes. My only complaint is that one of you has a bad case of gay mumbles and it’s hard for me to understand what you’re saying sometimes.

I have loved this show for years. Drew and Glen have great rapport (which is rarer than you'd think on podcasts), and they don't shy away from diving deep into television history. Where other (also enjoyable) podcasts tend to abandon the premise of the show for comedy bits GEE finds a way to stay on topic in a warm and humorous way. Quickly has become one of my top favorite podcasts and look forward to every new episode.
