Well in the ACT-U-AL-I-TY' i can only leave 5. I would like to give it 7 out of 5 like Mick did for Iron Maiden's Seventh Son of a Seventh Son album even though he could ony remember two good songs off of it now. If you liked Mick's other podcast, Dead Rocks Stars, you will love this...Read full review »

Great podcast. I’m listening on my run and you guys had me laughing so hard I couldn’t actually run very well.

This is the most fun and interesting podcast that I know of because Mick and Jon are constantly having a good time, between the interruptions (by both of them), talking about the great bands and music of years past. The most recent episode is from 29 July 2021, then they sadly seem to have...Read full review »

Love every episode of Dead rock stars and Rocks off, highly recommended, hopefully the series will revert to its weekly format ASAP. P.S. great to see Mick with Rossi last week, but it would be even better to see you on your own tour.

Superb podcast chronicling the soaring highs and the desperate lows of some of your favourite rock acts of the last 30 years. And all remembered or (half remembered) by two Kerrang! coal facers around at the time. Hilarious and informative like any great podcast.

My go too podcast to brighten up any day, absolutely hilarious stuff. Keep them coming Mick & Jon..

I was excited when I read the description for this show. I downloaded several episodes so I could listen as I commute to work. I start with the two part Axl Rose episode. I spent the first 15 minutes trying to become interested and couldn’t. Here is the shows formula. Mick tries to tell a story...Read full review »

Great pod with the great mick, but jon just seems to be there to interrupt mick, for the led zep episode for example, countless times mick says something like ”ye but led zep” or ”yes but back to led zeppelin” and jon just keeps going on and on talking about other nonesense. Half the podcast is...Read full review »

Absolutely great listening entertainment… I love both chaps, great chemistry between Jon and Mick Much to Mr Wall’s chagrin no doubt, I will say mr Hotton regularly makes me chuckle heartily Whilst I generally laugh at Micks seeming ability to get details wrong about bands* All in all one of the...Read full review »

Excellent podcast in all respects. I, for one, appreciate all of the information, factually correct and otherwise, as well as the repeated stories which, it goes without saying, are worthy of repeating. Bravo and carry on!

Thank you for the music, the joy your bringing, but stop that political whinging.

Love these podcasts, loved the dead rock stars podcasts too. It’s like sitting in a pub with your mates, having a couple of pints and talking about music. Even Jon interrupting is funny, we all have mates like that, don’t we? Well done to you both, you make my long drive to work and back and...Read full review »

This podcast is excellent. Full of great stories about legendary artists. Mick and Jon’s camaraderie is very entertaining, you never know where the next tangent is going to take you. Special mention to Mick for his Ozzy and Patrick Moore impressions 😂 Give it a listen!

Stick to the music storylines & Keep your opinions on American politics to yourself. It’s an absolute podcast killer. Nothing worse for a podcast than turning off half your audience!!!!!

Fantastic series, there’s a great warmth to Mick and Jon as they share tails from their years as Rock’n’Roll journalists. Keep an ear out for the occasional appearance of Coco the metal pug !

A great show to listen to. Irreverent and on the fly comments make it a very enjoyable hour to pass the time too. Hearing Mick Wall’s stories is always a treat. Jon is really funny too once you’ve got used to him always interrupting MW. Some of their memories of the 80s are hilarious.......they clearly enjoyed themselves cos they don’t get much of the ‘actuality’ right. But still really great stuff!

Reminding us of a time when rock stars really were dirty, drug fuelled and bloody marvellous - unlike today’s crop of nobody’s. Let’s get the schmoozing out first, quite simply Mick & Jon produce “the most” enjoyable Pod on the planet. Too much? You guys are great! I’m 57 old rock/metal head and a “musician” in the 80’s. I can relate to a lot of this from the late 70’s as a teenager and into the 80’s in my 20’s in bands. Notably Hydra Vein!
