Great insight, bu wish he'd stop with the stand-up
Really informative guidance for organizing your life. Very insightful with a lot of 'aha' moments. The non-lecture episodes are very good. My only criticism involves those seminars of David lecturing in front of an audience. Understandably, there are things about the system that bear repeating in order to reinforce the ideas (ie. "Your brain is for having ideas, not for holding them," "Write it down"). But in the lectures, he brings up the same examples we just heard multiple times in previous episodes (ie."notice the color red around you," "don't just write 'mom' on your to-do list, "I spent 16 hours with a ceo once"). To someone who listens to every episode, it gets tired. It also feels like we're listening to different open-mike nights of a beginner comedian trying out the same material. It's not just the periodic Jerry Seinfeld "Have you ever noticed...," it's the constant "Come on...!" he keeps repeating over and over, the silly voices, his laughing uproariously at his own jokes. It might be the impulse to 'perfrom 'in front of an audience since he doesn't do it in conversations, but whatever the reason, it's a little much. Side note: they smartly changed the sound to separate segments on each episode. It's now the theme song, but originally, for some reason, they used the sound of a bullet being fired! They might go back and edit that out of the early episodes.Read full review »

Anna Marie’s voice and tone is so grating. She sounds like a scolding know it all and half the time her advice doesn’t make sense. Keep John Forrester, please replace Anna Marie!! Too much!

I stopped listening to the podcast because of the poor sound mixing. Please, fix the volume discrepancy between the dialogue and the intro/outro music! The conversations sound like they are recorded over the phone with very poor audio quality. I have to turn the volume up way too much to catch...Read full review »
