In Case Of Emergency, Break Glass.
Every columnist, every writer, has a box on the wall in the corner of wherever they sit down to write. It’s the emergency box. When there’s nothing else to write about, on the days when the fountain has run dry, you go over to that box, break the glass and write about writing the column. Most self respecting writers know to leave this box well alone, Giles has made an entire podcast series out of it. If that’s your thing, you might enjoy it, for a couple of episodes at least. I did not.

Do they know how pathetic they sound sneering at everything and anything? I’ll never be able to read and enjoy the restaurant reviews again. Who could have guessed they came from a self-centered, chipmunk-voiced, fool. And they’re bringing up children! There should be a law.
