what a brilliant show Geraldine and Hamish have got to be two of the best journalist on Radio in Australia. Even if I don’t hear this show live I have to go and find their podcast and listen to it because I can’t let a week go by without hearing their fantastic interviews and stories.

Fascinating discussion with Niall Ferguson. Quite a cutting and more conservative view to consider. Perhaps Republicans don’t want to change the Constitution just ignore any conventions around it.

Geraldine Dogue , Gross, I remember hearing her countless attempts at defending the Catholic Church over Child sexual abuse. Fraud etc , Her opinions are like toilet paper, wipe & toss away Hamish , you're amazing, you have so much more to offer than a podcast with this old slugRead full review »

It’s my weekly must listen as it’s an in-depth education on international affairs. As an ex teacher of the subject I pine for what you so brilliantly offer. Can’t see how I vote for you though!

I respect Geraldine and Hamish as journalists but I don’t really want to hear their opinions and interpretations on world affairs for 5 minutes at the start and end of the podcast. Maybe Geraldine and Hamish would argue they’re “contextualising” the topic at hand but I tend to think they just use...Read full review »

I was hoping for some interesting, insightful analysis. However Geraldine in particular is predictable in her remarks and is clearly a believer in western Christian exceptionalism. Borders on racism tbh . There’s a certain smug arrogance that I find abrasive and not related to ability.

I don`t mind Hamish he at least can be objective on former PRESIDENT TRUMP Bur Geraldine can not hide her loathing of former PRESEDENT TRUMP I grew up with the ABC and admired Geraldine Doogue on the radio It seems to appear that the ABC has turned into a left leaning worker`s CO-OP over the...Read full review »

I’ve just listened to your conversation with Dane Waters, an ‘old school Republican’. Your questions and his insights were so valuable to me in trying to understand the US Presidential campaigns. I have to say that I had moments of feeling quite sick during the podcast. However, if knowledge is...Read full review »

Journalism as it should be factual, intelligent, informative and backed up by experts. Thank you Geraldine and Hamish

Great and nuanced topics discussed on this, but I cannot listen anymore out of frustration at Hamish’s continued interruption and talking over too many guests! Please practice how you want someone to wrap up or switch topics - your current approach is infuriating to listen to!

Geraldine is accomplished, but her duo with Hamish feels flat and rehearsed. And I can’t stand Hamish’s patronising reference to his co-host as “Gerry”.

I look forward to Hamish and Geraldine waxing lyrical on a Friday to keep me informed and entertained in my walks. Always attracting world class guests and presenting what seems like balanced positions to a regular Joe like me. Thanks Haim and Gerry. Wonderful podcast.

It’s an average show, was much better when we had Geraldine’s style and sole focus, lost here coupled with Hamish. She’s a class act, doesn’t work as well with Hamish because he’s not a great listener or communicator like she is

Really enjoying the discussions here. Except maybe for Hamish's interview of the CEO of the Human rights organisation. Constantly talked over her. Let the woman speak !Read full review »

Look forward to each new episode. They’re short but always lead me to look at things from a bird’s eye perspective, wider frame, or from a different angle. Especially appreciate the weekly recommendations. Geraldine is a gem.

Two very intellectual journalists both very skilled in asking questions about the modern world

I admire both Geraldine and Hamish who are fine presenters in their own right. I’m not sure if a pairing works in the format of this show. Brilliant!! Hugh White discusses a need for us Australians to have a reality check!! We certainly can’t defend ourselves at present & we can’t depend on the USA. Disappointing that the Saturday morning program has been broken up & the final half hour with Geraldine about global news is now pre-recorded. I agree the duo is a poor format. Too much mutual giggling, which doesn’t suit the serious topics under discussion. Well, following Geraldine’s advice trying to find the movie A Separation on Apple TV proved to be a weekend dilemma for the whole family. No such animal in Australia it seems. Google defaults to Netflix - not there either. Seems to be available in USA but NOT Australia. More advice needed. MR
