Tyler knows his stuff and gets some amazing guests. A must-listen for any British comedy fan.

For anyone out there wondering: Where in the world is the Marx Brothers Council Podcast for Britain’s most diabolically hilarious comedy troupe? It’s here. This is it. This one here. Go no further, messieurs, mesdames, mesdemoiselles. This is the thing. Tyler is professional, intelligent, stays...Read full review »

What a wonderful show. My life would be *checks notes* bereft if it didn’t exist. Keep up the good work, Tyler. And if you’re ever stuck for a guest…

We’ve nothing but great, steaming heaps of admiration to deposit over the hard work that clearly goes into this admirable and reliably-weekly effort. The host obviously has the contacts, and evidently knows his comedy, even if the latter is reflected only rarely in his quiet, somewhat withdrawn...Read full review »

Not only a tribute to one of the best radio shows of all time but a magnificent podcast in it’s own right. This is how to pay a tribute to what you like and then build on it. Well done all and may it continue for a few days or so.

Inspired by Charlotte Mitchell’s two appearances on the Goon Show I googled … and found this gem of a podcast. Filling in the many gaps in Goonology in a most entertaining way.

What can I say? This is an important project and we all owe Tyler our gratitude and custard.

Very interesting interview with Spike Milligan’s daughter Jane. Talking about Spike as a family man and other events and recordings.

If you're a fan of the Goon Show, or just wanting to find out more about the legendary 'Goons' then this is for you. The Presenter, Tyler, and his guests speak with affection and lots of knowledge about the show that I sat by my father's chair-side and listened to, as a boy....Read full review »

A podcast by someone who really knows his subject but is as far from pedantic or dry as you can be. I like digressions in podcasts and here they never seem to be beside the point, most demonstrate how pivotal The Goons were and still are to British comedy and culture. Tyler gets some cracking...Read full review »

A really good podcast that explores the world of the Goons, individually and collectively. It’s not too reverential nor too cynical and has enough fresh insights and different perspectives on the Goons to more than keep your interest. It’s also quite happy to go beyond the immediate subject and...Read full review »

The Goon Show has long been my favorite comedy *anything* and I have been longing for a podcast to be made about them. Luckily for us all, The Goon Pod is an excellent show that delves into the show and the The Goons themselves! The host is very knowledgeable and the guests all bring different...Read full review »

I'm an old Goons fan so I would say this, but this has become one of my favourite listens of the week. It's not just silliness, Tyler is finding interesting guests and topics and putting out a very professional sounding show.Read full review »

The Goonpod is both perfectly timed (the 70th Anniversary year 2021) and a perfectly pitched format. Great discussions about the show, it’s cast and crew, the impact it had, and topics that spread beyond ‘The Goon Show’ itself. Tyler is a very insightful and entertaining presenter and the range...Read full review »

The Goons was the first thing I really got into as a child. All these years later I’ve updated my collection with the Goon Show Compendiums, replaced the Peter Sellers VHSs with Blu-Rays, and bought the almost complete Q series on DVD. It’s wonderful to hear people discussing something that’s...Read full review »

I’ve really been enjoying these. A very interesting look at a different Goon show or other Milligan and/or Sellers and/or Secombe show or film project in each episode. Very well informed guests. And so far I think everyone has resisted the temptation to do any silly voices.

Good pod that doesn’t let a love for the show and contributors stop a critical appraisal of what’s good or bad. Like the latter Goon Shows could benefit from a tighter overall structure. But improving all the time
