Our priorities should mirror Daniel’s priorities. We must put God first and place our trust in Him, not a political party. We are part of a heavenly Kingdom that influences the earth. We must all work together to make a Kingdom difference. God will never fail us, no matter who is in the White House.

Be strong and work! The God we serve is the King of the entire world, and He will always have the last word. Haggai warns, “Consider your ways.” When what you’re doing isn’t working, stop and think. Are you doing things God’s way or your own? You will never be satisfied until you submit to God’s plan for your life.

Our God is THE God. He is too big to rig. Daniel teaches us the high price of generational neglect. Daniel was taken from Jerusalem as a teen, and his dreams were killed. Even so, he lives for God. Today, as a nation, we are at a crossroads. Future generations will not have a chance at life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness if we neglect their needs. We must speak up now so that they are not enslaved by a government that dictates every detail of their lives in the future.

Remember the Sabbath day. Those who keep the Sabbath live a joyful life filled with happiness. Having a wonderful life begins with keeping the Ten Commandments. We easily forget all that God has done for us. Do you choose to work every day? You are a slave to your job. Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy.

The worst sin is taking the Lord’s name in vain. Using His name in a profane way is unacceptable to God. The Lord will not hold you guiltless. God is sacred, and His name is to be spoken in reverence, used for His glory.

Hope does not disappoint because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts. Everybody is investing in something. When you make an investment, you expect a return. God’s Word tells us there is a place where we can make an investment that never fails. Our hope does not disappoint.

The final system of government will be set up under the throne of King Jesus. When Jesus returns, His throne will be on the Temple Mount. Both the wicked and the righteous will be judged. In this government, we will stand in front of Him alone to give an account for our lives. Are you following God’s precepts? Are you walking in His favor? You are responsible for how you choose to govern yourself, and one day you will be held accountable.

Faith, hope and love are constantly connected in the Bible. Place your faith in Him, and His promises will lead you to your divine destiny. Faith gives you access to all that God has planned for you. Without it…it is impossible to please Him.

God has always had a preferred system of government. What happens when the government replaces God? He says, “I am God and there is none like me.” His purpose is found in the Church; it will be accomplished with or without us. Stand and be counted as part of the solution, not part of the problem. Daniel stood up for the truth at a time when his government was not aligned with God’s Word. God called him faithful.

We each have tendencies that we wish did not exist. We can alter patterns that don’t honor the Lord and live a life filled with blessings that overflow. We have genetic DNA, behavioral DNA and spiritual DNA. Our divine nature can make Christ-honoring adjustments to ungodly patterns we learned as a child so that we can live in victory.

What happens when the government becomes God? Throughout history, various groups of people have believed that governments were equal to God. Remember the Tower of Babel? They wanted to reach into heaven and throw God off His throne. There are governmental systems that are doing everything they can to replace God. This is a truth that has played out for centuries, something that will continue to happen until Christ returns.

People often ask if America is a Christian nation. Thomas Jefferson wrote about the laws of nature (our rights and duties). These are moral truths that everyone should know and understand. They fit the natural structure of how we should live. Morally we know that we should not kill. In recent years, truth has become widely disputed as society shifts to a world where truth is relative, everyone chooses their own truth. There is only one source of truth, God’s Word.

In a face-to-face meeting, God gave the Ten Commandments to Moses on Mount Sinai. The message He wanted to relay… “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” The Ten Commandments are binding. They are eternal. They are not recommendations.
