“Once again Mr. Rossi proves to be the king of "lost in translation". All his books have an interesting premise, but somehow turn out to be confusing, vague, and boring on paper. Take Crescent, replace the space station with a small town and you've got Harvey. Otherwise, they're remarkably similar books. Same vague, undeveloped "evil" force that takes over people, same non-existant character development, same crappy ending.
I trudged through listening to this hoping the ending might redeem it somewhat, but was only let down again. The resolution doesn't resolve anything, and the whole book is wrapped up in about a page and a half, like the ending was a total afterthought.”Read full review »
