Finally, not a sci-fi podcast that’s actually REALLY GOOD! Highly recommend

...but I have to agree that it started out great -- first chapter is excellent -- but it is downhill from there. I'm only on Ch 5 tho....

Better than staring off into space and listening to silence, but only just.

Finally a good novel. I've been looking a while. Well written. A few too many curse words but eager to hear what's next. 1/2 or 3/4 way through. Only found it as Harvey is my last name!

I have listened to a few audio books by Phil, and he is a master story teller and the production quality is top notch! Phil is now one of my favorite authors! You need to check his books out!

This is an awesome audiobook plain and simple!

Well worth a listen. The author tells the strange tale of the town of Harvey . I won't deny there were parts that I didn't quite get and as with all his stories the ending left me with plenty of questions, but this I think is his style! I recommend you give it a go.

WOW
Loved it. First book I've listened to that was truly scary. It did ramble a bit in the beginning, but glad I kept listening then I couldn't stop. Great sound quality. Many books I have to use ear buds to hear but this comes through loud and clear.

Occasionally interesting turns of phrase but far more that sounds forced and, at times, laughable when humor was not the intention. May have carried better if material wasn't being read by the author, who sounds a little too much "in love with his darlings" and whose nasally voice grates on the...Read full review »

A bit different to Phil Rossi's other work, this a great story. Well worth your time!

Wow. Phil has created a dark world here, rooted in the fantasy world of american idol and the homespun world of small town USA. He's populated this isolated country hamlet with white trash and hard working specimens, lazy and hardworking politicians and cops, transplants, recent and well...Read full review »

Another great one from the man himself :) Keep it up.

Phil Rossi is a horror author not to be challenged! Like Crescent, this is a crisp, fast moving and graphic depiction of a really bad week or two for a small town and its diverse residents and visitor. Download this book, lest the dirt men get you!

I thought this was a gripping, truly scary audiobook. Glad I didn't listen to it at night.

Harvey had me gripped from the end of the first episode right to the denouement of this gritty and unpleasant little tale. Sometimes the story is a little difficult to unravel and at times I thought I must have missed an episode but stick with it. I really enjoyed Phil Rossi's writing and...Read full review »

Story started off great, got very boring fast. This story could have been great but too much focus on the main character, who I think is too simple and full of himself. Also, a good writer doesn't have to use so much profanity to get the story across. I won't finish this story. I keep hoping the...Read full review »

I'm a harsh critic and I think this story is great. It's entertaining and intriguing.

Once again Mr. Rossi proves to be the king of "lost in translation". All his books have an interesting premise, but somehow turn out to be confusing, vague, and boring on paper. Take Crescent, replace the space station with a small town and you've got Harvey. Otherwise, they're remarkably similar...Read full review »

This story kept me riveted waiting for each new episode to come out. Highly recommend this work. Excellent, suspenseful, and imaginative!

I loved this podiobook. Rossi does a great job of creating characters that the reader identifies with immediately, and then puts them through hell while you listen. Powerful stuff here. I want to go back and listen to it consecutively, now that it is complete. Episodic listening isn't my favorite...Read full review »

Phil Rossi's "Harvey" is a fantastic critique of small town life and what happens to a tightly knit community when evil shows up on its doorstep. Calvin Hubbard, the main character, is funny, talented, and a bit lost as he finds himself the stranger under suspicion for the dark deeds that...Read full review »
