Heavy Cardboard is Great
Edward and Tony's podcast is wonderful. The reasons this is such a good podcast are numerous. Firstly, they have a great reporire. You can tell they are friends, but they have different slants on games so it is not always 100 percent agreement and that is very refreshing. Secondly, the subject matter is of course important. Heavy Euros is my sweet spot so they cover exactly what I like best. The cool thing about them, and this podcast is they are not snobby about it. They respond with their opinion, but do not judge and respect other people's thoughts. I really like the fact they talk about current issues, like Gencon and Indiana . They also just tackle heavy games, it is not just cult of the new. Thirdly, their reviews are well done, and I like their 6 point scale. I generally agree them on their rankings. It Will Be interesting how Ep 23 goes, since I do not like Ground Floor. I know this is hard but it would be great when they do their main reviews to compare them to their other reviews. Like how does Zhanguo compare to Craftsman to Indodensia. Since we all have reference points based on their show how does the ratings compare to other games. I love the ask the Elephant segment. Also be more willing to say a rating or at least how you are leaning so we can buy the game at game surplus.com.! Great job guys. This is an excellent podcast.Read full review »

My new go to podcast for board games. This is a great podcast reviewing, discussing, and dissecting medium and heavy board games. I love their two week release schedule and the banter between Edward and Tony is great often with different feelings on the main game they are reviewing. Really...Read full review »

I am really digging the format and content of your podcast. Love your focus on heavy strategy games yet never with a slight or snobbish attitude towards the lighter fare games. Keep up the good work!!
