Heavy hitting games
Heavy Cardboard has quickly become my go to resource for board games. It's one of the few podcasts I listen to right away when it's posted since I'm always interested in the content they discuss. While the show tends to be about heavier games (which is exactly what we enjoy), Edward and Tony still talk about some of the lighter games they play and enjoy. Edward and Tony also have a great chemistry in talking about games together and nothing is scripted or sounds forced, which is the quickest way to get my to turn off a podcast. Two of the biggest things I appreciate most about Heavy Cardboard is that when they review games they don't give a long boring rules explanation. Also since they play the games several times before reviewing they tend to play games and different player counts so they can talk about scalability of the game. This is great because we tend to play mostly two player games but want to be able to play with friends when we have the chance.Read full review »

This podcast fills a niche in the board gaming world by focusing on heavy boardgames. For these guys Terra Mystica is a nice filler between games.
