“This is a bit like the magazine on which it is based. The topics centre around UK history (ranging from Big Ben to Henry II to the history of swimming) and they are generally competent but not too in-depth. An easy half-hour's listening but if you are looking for academic grunt or the passion of a Dan Carlin then go elsewhere. Sound quality can vary a bit, especially with phone interviews, but is generally acceptable. I find it a fair substitute for the hard copy magazine, which is getting a little pricey here in Australia.”Read full review »

“I really like this podcast . It's rare to have such in depth interviews with such interesting people.
A good way to get closer to the history.”Read full review »
