Very good as an introduction to philosophy
This is a great course for anyone who wants an excellent, essentialized presentation of the history of philosophy. It helps that Professor Adamson is a highly engaging speaker. By that, I mean he explains well the context of the philosopher he is discussing, on top of giving clear explanations of the philosophers ideas, and does both while bringing in examples that a listener today can understand. I come away from each podcast informed, excited about philosophy, and eager to hear the next one. If you knew, or had an inkling, that philosophy is important, but could not find the time to read the corpus, this is the podcast series to listen to.

More reviews of History of Philosophy Without Any Gaps
Very nice delivery, very accessible .. some reviewers say it’s like a college lecture, I can see that putting some people off (like me had I read the reviews prior to listening for a while..) … I would say they are more like well told stories about great thinkers . Peter Adamson is just great!

Great series. Helps "full the gaps" of my Understanding, which, due to the way philosophy is taught, are many! Hope they make it right up to present day!Read full review »
