“The author hides his German accent well.
One must be extremely wary of the heavy Bias this has been created with. The only solace I can find with a podcast which speaks of German brilliance, bravery, cunning and intelligence is the prior knowledge of who actually won this war. I have been pushed to the point of reviewing because it is such a crying shame, that someone so committed to creating such an in depth podcast has allowed it to be tainted by misplaced biases.
IT IS CLEAR the American author has a heavy respect for Germany, even when speaking about the wilful killing of civilians in Belgium, there is an almost comedic perspective, while when it comes to France, Russia and the U.K (Spoiler alert, the winners of the war), the author seems to find comfort in how negligent he believes these victorious powers were.
Anyone listening to this podcast must be extremely careful, as unfortunately the author lets his opinion and point of view affect his story telling, a great shame because the podcast is informative and the author is clearly very interested in the topic.
I don’t normally write reviews but listening to this podcast daily has pushed me to this, I just can’t wait for the author to start talking about the invincible Germans downfall, which I have a sneaking suspicion, may be affiliated to the USA, rather than the countries which actually suffered from the war. Hopefully I’m proven wrong but I wouldn’t put my money on it.”
