Thorough, detailed, very good
The narrator has a distinctive accent that took me some getting used to but once you get past that it's a very enjoyable podcast. Not just a history of the popes, but a history of early Christianity as well, this podcast is great for anyone who is interested in the evolution of religious traditions. The podcast is so thorough that often I have trouble recalling lots of the details after listening, but the details are in there so it sure is interesting as you are listening. The thing that strikes me most about what I learn is when I compare timespans with other known historical timespans, such as the fact that I can say the US is about 200 years old and then ask, what happened in 200 years' development of Christianity? It really is fascinating. Thanks for the the good podcast! -SteveRead full review »
