“This is a histroical drama just like (and as good as) the "Downton Abbey" TV series. It tells the story of several characters living in a town on the coast of the English Channel. It gives us a taste of what it was like living during WW1. You learn about the societal changes during those times and the naive glamour of enlisting, I have only listened to the first "year" of the series and can hardly wait to hear the rest.
