“Having discovered this beautifully done series in Oct 2018, I have been slowly binge listening and have now started the last season. I’m already feeling sad about its impending end as it has been a great companion on my morning walks. I love the rich characters and the historical background. It gives us a glimpse into our grandparents’ lives ( ok, great-grandparents to some ) and thus a greater appreciation for them. There’s also something special about radio in that it envelops you without monopolizing you. Well done to everyone involved.”

“This got me through lockdown Mark 2!! I just couldn’t stop listening to it. Vivid beyond words the characters were so believable I found myself talking to them during situations they found themselves in. Totally immersive, totally worth listening to all over again.”
