Did no one proof this? Audio has to be cranked up and then you can still not hear one of the speakers

“Unfiltered” and “Controversial” are descriptions you do want associated with hot takes on the show. However, left unfiltered, Matt Fox has found his own controversy. After uncovering his true character I personally rather avoid the things he touches and would classify the content he is...Read full review »

Jack! Love the podcast and all the work you put into it. Consistently great content and guests, BUT knowing how much you care about the listener experience & the fans, please consider upping the audio quality of guests on the show. I know there are a lot of logistics just to get these guests...Read full review »

Thank you so much Jack for your continued content. Wide ranging interviews and in depth conversations with pros helps me find inspiration and engagement with the triathlon community.

Ari needs to take over the show. Jack talks in circles just to make the episodes long so they can put more ads in.. he’s also “controversial” but just comes across as annoying

Jack is one of the best podcasters out there

Every now and then I come back to give this another chance - but 2 hour episodes are unnecessary and the content is just not worth the time investment. One of the episodes spent 20 min on a conversation amongst bros about if they’d seen their parents naked. Really not sure what the point of this...Read full review »

What a great episode Jack. Thanks for opening up and being vulnerable, I think it could really help a lot of people including me. We’re all rooting for you

Really enjoyed the pod and interaction with Ari. Must say the detail of the first 5-10mins of race course was excellent! Great pod guys!!

Jacks show on it’s own is great but the Chase pack is a great addition really look forward to the episodes!

Enjoyable conversations from various focus areas around the world of triathlon. It is fun to get different perspectives on the sport at different levels.

I just listened to a very interesting episode. But I was wondering, who’s this “Ash” and this guy, always interrupting the highly interesting description of great products? It is ok that you have commercials, but in this episode it was really to much

Keep up the great work Jack. Your show is always great informative listening. It’s a light hearted yet at times in-depth look at the individuals who make up triathlon. Continue asking those probing questions. I really think you should get a current Ironman champion on the show and someone from 20...Read full review »

Every show is entertaining and jack asks lots of questions to his guests, including some not so comfortable fir the guests. Always look forward to new shows 😀

Brilliant podcast and love Jacks enthusiasm but is he still alive? Is he hiding everything behind the paywall now?

Right now there is simply no better. Relevant, current content, deep dive, smart, somehow always has the perfect guest for the week/month on the show. Jack raised the level of professionalism for triathlon podcasts and I have listened to a LOT of them over the last ~18 years. The latest episode...Read full review »

As both a new triathlete, and new supporter of the sport this podcast is essential listening. Really love Jack’s insights and knowledge but most importantly love the personality, passion and energy he brings to the sport. Also just so refreshing having a fellow Aussie voice chat on this stuff...Read full review »

This podcast has become my favorite for Triathlon content. I especially love the short course Triathlon hour with Hayden Wilde. I’m a fan of all distances and this is rare to have such a podcast. Specifically talking about short course Hayden does an outstanding job as an interviewer. If you like...Read full review »

Jack is certainly opinionated, which I think is fantastic. He clearly cares a great deal about triathlon and makes every conversation interesting. One of the podcasts I listen to immediately when a new episode drops. I’m pretty sure the 4 negative reviews are just cranky members of the Messick...Read full review »

I started listening to Jack a year ago while driving or exercising, and I want to say the amount of information and knowledge I gained has not just made me a better athlete/stronger. Still, I became more optimistic about being fit and how to enjoy the journey and not just dark moments. I highly...Read full review »

Just listened to the episode after Max Neumann’s PTO win. What a fantastic interview and what a cracking bloke! HTT is my favourite podcast by the length of the straight! Thank you Jack! Jack, Nice work handling the very hard subject of doping in triathlon. I appreciate how you handled the wrap up and mental health discussion. As outraged as many of us are, we don’t want any other extremely negative outcomes to come from this situation. Just wanted to say thanks. 👍

I have been listening to Jack’s podcast now for the last year and see it as an absolute treat to listen to every week. His ability to get athletes and coaches to open up is amazing. Either the host is star struck to an uncomfortable level or adversarial also to an uncomfortable level. Regardless of which, it s rather tiresome after a few episodes. Despite loving this podcast because of the diverse sports it originally started it’s grown my interest and love for triathlon again as a fan, rather than a athlete. Jack Kelly accuses Andrew Messick of not listening to “what the people want”, but Jack Kelly effectively does the same thing, repeating the recommendation of reduced cut-off times for all racers at the Ironman World Championship. Messick brings up older athletes taking longer and Jack Kelly...Read full review »

Biased interview skills.
Dongman310 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 02/08/23
Normally I enjoy the show but I thought the interview with Andrew Messick was verging on being disrespectful to Mr. Messick. I think the evolution of the 5Q and the separate day of racing has been great for the sport.

This is my favourite podcast hands down and I ain’t even a triathlete. I run 1 hour most days, my only wish is theres was a daily episode to accompany each run. So absorbing listening to some of the current best and past greats talk about there weekly training!

Aside from the great guests and conversations, the best part about this show is that Jack actually let’s his guest speak! Hands down the best triathlon podcast. The interviews are more like conversations and the questions, especially the follow up questions, are spot on to get to know the subject. Great guests so far. Good luck into the future!

Jack, great interviews mate. Now, I’m an age grouper so I’m not actually racing anyone (except myself). But there is a lot to learn and take away from each interview.
