I just can't take your mouth sounds anymore. I have misophonia, and the rage those sounds bring out in me...well, it's good you're not in the room with me. I had even subscribed to your podcast earlier on, thinking maybe I can just deal with it. Some episodes you're fine, but...Read full review »

All hats off to the host for actually getting through the script on this one !( child abuse 33) I mean I’m a crime junkie but I listened in utter horror from the very off on this heartbreaking, totally disturbing episode!! My god no god ,, some humans are so , absolutely deprived and monstrous...Read full review »

Been listening to Morgan since he started out, people found him shocking, but I think his realism and non censorfied approach; merged with his dark humour is what True Crime Listeners need. It's not all 'we're so funny' podcast hosts, Morgan goes straight in. True Crime...Read full review »

Honestly, I’ve grown bored of the mainstream crimepods. Found this Thanks to Obscura mention and I am now obsessed. Such great research and detail, I’m affected every episode! Great job!

I love this podcast for the actual stories. They are incredible! But his old cohost was a giant POS and really wrecked the hosts fan base online. I was on the Facebook and have ALL of the disclosure (evidence, court transcripts, personal insight as it was my husband) for a massive case in Canada...Read full review »

I love the human monster podcast. It takes Morgan and his crew a lot of man hours to delve deep and find information. Morgan’s voice is pleasant and I often listen to him at night. I read some of the comments, let the first one of you that is perfect and never mispronounced a word cast the first...Read full review »

New info I’ve never heard but he reads in a bland monotone and seriously needs to drink some water. The sounds his mouth makes is too distracting
NoMeansNo666 via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 02/05/24
His voice is so monotone that I just completely zone out. The sound of the microphone moving or any other noice in the background is just so amateur. This is not a professional podcast 😬 save yourself from this boring podcast and tune into something better.

I enjoy the stories on cases I have heard before because of the deeper dive and more details I haven’t heard before. Also new cases I’m not familiar with Great voice and cadence.

Morgan you are my favorite podcaster. I’m listening to Rifkin again and it’s so good. You are dysfunctional ASMR to me.

I’ve been listening since the beginning. I think Morgan is detailed and tells the story like it is. This isn’t always easy listening, but that’s what draws me to it. Keep it up!

I listened to an episode I felt weird about how you were interviewing a rape survivor and someone almost murdered. Just very weird questions. Surprised so big you seems to find awesome stories but need some reflection in presentation I think. You seemed to like to relish a bit in details of...Read full review »

Odd
No disrespect but very strange.. just can’t get it.
Masher74 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 12/09/23
The monotone could be tolerable, but the fact that the host switches between first person and third person with no warning is just weird and creepy. I don’t want to hear a podcast host licking/smacking his lips, either. Gross.
BeccaS111 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 12/08/23
Don’t like the cackling hens, not sorry. I do like your real voice rather than the fake one you used to use but I just can’t get into the sorry story telling.

While some might not agree with this new edition to the show, I’m super happy for Morgan and the fact that he’s gotten the show to a point that he can now have this option! Love your show Morgan! Keep growing man!

I’ve tried. Listened to numerous episodes. But I can’t anymore. The monotonous tone is bad enough. But the basic research settled it for me. Really wished the researchers were better.

I listen to podcasts all day working, cleaning, cooking etc……. I don’t want to hear any political opinions or jabs at either party. If I wanted to hear it, there are many news networks available. Unfortunately, this podcaster has started to take jabs at certain political figures and parties....Read full review »

I used to really enjoy this podcast but lately it’s been too annoying to finish listening to. The guest on your show are interesting but the uncomfortable dead silence or everyone cackling at the same time makes it unlistenable. It’s all over the place. I hope this isn’t going to be permanent....Read full review »

Awful writing on this, especially the Halloween episode. Save your time to listen to Dark Topic or True Crime Kent and you won’t look back. You’re welcome ☺️

I don’t need lectures on smoking or sugar addiction. I thought this was about true crime!

I give three stars because the content is good - not a fan of the back and forth with the lady the last couple of episodes, but usually it’s good stuff. I’m not put off by the dark humor like some reviewers, or even the low quality sound, but for Gods sake, can you do a little editing? I do not...Read full review »

Always well done, great voice, dark humor, extremely well researched. Morgan has the gift of podcasting for sure. I listen to many murder/true crime podcasts everyday at work. Human Monsters is hands down my favorite!!!

I love this podcast for providing raw information. The recording quality is low though. It sounds like it’s recorded in a bathroom. And the ads are horrendous. Until today I thought it was illegal to advertise nicotine. The rest is gambling. Absolutely cringy on this front. I would give 4 stars...Read full review »

Insensitive jokes and bad attempts at being funny while literally discussing actual people being murdered, also paired with the garbage quality mic you use where we can literally hear the spit in your mouth and that horrific whistling sound every time you say a word with a S

The Ripper Crew was a story I had not heard of. I thought it was interesting but the monotone voice makes the story feel like a chore to listen to. I’m not a fan of someone just reading from his notes or computer, you can hear shuffling or keyboard clicking, I also don’t like hearing the smacking...Read full review »

The Mothers Day episode annoyed my from the jump. Stop joking about people being killed, it’s not funny and it’s a recipe for losing listeners (like myself).
LeeLizHen via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 09/15/23
I find it insanely insensitive how the guy literally cracks jokes and puns when talking about people getting killed. Real human beings being murdered isn’t funny in anyway, and it’s vile this has gotten popular. I can’t imagine the family’s hearing this..
laurennhunt2 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 08/25/23
I tried, I really did. But this guy has these bad attempts at comedy writing at the end of every paragraph, which is read verbatim from his sheets in a monotone voice. Also, he needs a cough button on his mic. NOBODY wants to hear you sniffle, dude.
betthashmeckal via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 08/24/23
Unfortunitely this guys voice is really not great for podcasts. Rather robotic and monotone, and every now and then a word was pronounced in a really weird way. Sorry to the host, but I wouldn’t recommend this podcast
melo2314 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 08/16/23
I like how this guy just goes into the story, no drawn out introduction no “check out my Patreon link in the show notes”
Misterbuttz via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 08/01/23
Great podcast except nothing worse than losing sound half way through an episode. And I was a paid member.
7731770 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 07/28/23
The audio cuts off towards the young, no explaining the full ending of the episode. Just wondering if it’s an issue

Beyond informative. For true crime podcasts this should be at the top of the charts.. My favorite murder is a joke. Haven’t even looked in year’s to see what they do anymore. Rather listen to this, than two self absorbed, celebrate me podcast hosts like them.

I enjoy listening at work, mowing grass. The reason I don’t give 5 stars is on account of the lip smacking! Dude you kill me with that! Its like an ASMR of someone making mouth noises sometimes! The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth with a dash of cynicism. Morgan serves up the whole smorgasbord. Not for the queasy.
CheleBone6 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/23/23
I love this podcast. The writing is exceptional and the dry humor (only aimed at perpetrators, never at victims) is en pointe. This is similar to Sword and Scale, but better and it has morals. I love Morgan’s voice and overall presentation. Bravo, Morgan!
