Description
Do you think you're awkward? Awesome! Let it shine!  I’ve met very few people who don’t consider themselves to be awkward in one way or another. That leads me to believe that our unique awkwardnesses are part of what makes us awesome! This is the third episode in our myth-busting series where we break down the difference between the world's attitude and expectations of relationships versus the Soul-Anchored view. In this episode, we bust the myth that when you are getting to know someone, you should only put forward your best, most socially acceptable self. But we think that you should put forward your authentic self, no matter what!  Awkward isn’t bad. We’re all awkward in our own ways! Awkward can be very attractive to the right person. Know how and why you are awkward and be confident in it - own it! If you’re interested in friendship or another kind of relationship, don’t play hard to get. Playing games shows a lack of maturity. If you like someone, feel free to tell them what you like about them. One of the nicest things anyone ever said to me was, “I like you. Let’s be friends.” We also spend a little time on the difference between Authenticity and Vulnerability – a bit topic we’ll dive into more in the future.  Have you believed this relationship myth - consciously or subconsciously? What can you do to make sure you've busted it in your mind so it doesn't creep into your relationships?  Find and connect with us in more places and ways: Website: https://www.soulanchoring.com/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@soulanchoring Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/soulanchoring Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/SoulAnchoring Twitter: https://twitter.com/SoulAnchoring  Email: [email protected]   Listen Now:  Apple Podcasts Spotify Website If you like what you hear from us, would you be so kind as to Follow Us / Subscribe, Give us a 5-Star Rating, Write a Glowing Review, and Pray for Us? You've probably heard this quote:“You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” We contend that for a believer, your identity should be found in Christ, not those five people.  In this week's podcast episode, we talk through a reel shared by Shadé Zahrai (@shadezahrai)...
