“Jake, Thanks for your work here. Important issues and as a parent that used some of Dobson’s material, I feel chastened (in a positive way) and I appreciate your work in pointing out so many of the shortcomings.
However, I did find Brooke’s participation confusing and troubling. She laughs almost incessantly and seems to relish in all of the ways Dobson was wrong.
There is so much value to what you are pointing out, but the podcast becomes less accessible to those who need to hear it because of the desire to mock him and those who listened to him. I do not understand why Brooke thinks it is so funny. It is sad. It is tragic. It is misguided, but I don’t think it is funny. Just think of the harm that has been created by it.”
