A bit self-serving really
John’s account of the accident was left completely unchallenged by the journalist in this podcast. In the interview. John’s account of striking the victim with his bicycle at 6 or 7 kph is laughable. The worst part is that the interviewer afterwards says that his access to witness statements and Garda records corroborates John’s account. As if he hadn’t listened to his own recording of John stating he was doing a low speed? Really? Surely the evidence looked at included some analysis or assessment of the impact forces likely to cause such a head injury? And if he was going so slowly surely he would have had time to react to a man who was clearly on the road and looking the other way? Yet the interviewer bizarrely mounts no challenge to the courier’s assertions regarding the speed he was riding at. Come on!
