Great show, shame about the host
I’m a big lover of history so the in-depth topics with expert input are just great and exactly what I want in a history podcast. However the podcast is enormously let down by the host who is both questionable in his comments and often sexist in his approach to the female panellists. I often feel uncomfortable listening to him bumblingly interrupting people. Bragg is outdated and doesn’t have the contemporary input needed to make this podcast truly interesting (I can also hear his breathing all the time which is so off putting). Bit of a shame really. Think it’s time for a new host.

This series is knockout. Love the discussions, love long drives in heavy traffic which give me a chance to revel in some great content!

The show has so much potential, great topics, and interesting guests, but the host has a habit of routinely cutting off female guests. I gave up after a few episodes as it was becoming appallingly to hear. I expect more civility at the BBC.
