“I, like every other person who has posted a review, agree that this programme is absolutely fantastic in its range of topics and the depth to which they are investigated (easily worth five stars). However, there is a consistent trend through just about all these reviews: the lack of episodes available on iTunes. I honestly can't understand why Radio 4 doesn't listen to this constructive criticism and make the archives of this great programme accessible for more people, especially as I would have thought that the whole point of IOT is to encourage more and more people to find out about and enjoy history. Why not let us do it in our own time? Therefore I find this quite self-defeating and disappointing. How can I give a high rating to a podcast series that only comprises of one podcast (whatever its quality) and refuses to budge over such an easily rectable complaint?”Read full review »
