“Fantastic podcast. I was born in the Site 2 refugee camp and my family immigrated to the US in '92. In am only two episodes in but I wanted to hop on to drop a quick line. My parents lived through Khmer rouge - my mother saw them force her father to the fields, my father's father vanished as well. Their whole families survived the labor camps. My parents can hardly stomach to talk about it. I'm 33 now, and barely know any off it. I've avoided the mainstream dramatizations off it. I would say I barely know my on culture and heritage. Well, except the food. My mom Cooks some mean Cambodian dishes.
I could write paragraphs but I'll keep it short, and since I'm doing this via mobile. Very well done podcast, amazing amount of research. Great story telling. Looking forward to hearing all the episodes. I'm learning a tremendous amount. THANK YOU.”Read full review »
