Meticulously constructed story arc, rivetingly delivered
A comprehensive survey of Cambodian history, powerfully and engagingly related, driving with inexorable narrative force toward the Khmer Rouge revolution of 1975-1979. This is a landmark undertaking, inspired by and — in its importance — akin to the magisterial work of David Chandler.

One of the best podcasts I have heard. I’m sad I didn’t know about this before visiting Cambodia, but hearing it makes me want to go back and see so much more of this tragic and frighteningly recent history.
