“These guys do a great job of digging deep into one the most fascinating, yet neglected corners of American history -- the story of the northeastern native peoples and their dealings with the European colonists. I became interested in this subject a few years ago, and it took me some serious research just to piece together the native american legacy of the Delaware Valley, where I live; I was delighted to find many of the same stories worked into this podcast, placed in the broader context of Iroquois affairs. Be warned, though, Andrew and Caleb cab be less politically correct than your average award-winning podcast-- if they make an off-color joke about the Québecquois or the Swedes, you'd best just laugh along and take it in stride. All in all, though, a great listen and a great success, and I look forward to taking the story into the 19th century!”Read full review »
