If you like any of James’ other work then you’re sure to like this! Having read the book ‘Perfect Sound Whatever’ which this podcast is based on, this was always going to be a must listen! My only wish is that episodes were slightly longer as they’re so enjoyable!

Great podcast. I’ve been listening to the podcast then listening to the album straight after. Discovered some gems and also learnt what I definitely don’t like. James’s energy and knowledge about each album is brilliant to listen to.

I really love this podcast and the spectrum of music being featured! The brief context of the album that James provides is great and really situates the music in its political and social context.
