Really enjoying this, its relaxing, informative, cosy and cheering. (I do wish I could get rid of the awful and jarring Tinder adverts in the breaks though!)

I could listen to Dame Joanna all day. This podcast is marvelous. I studied history of art, but history of music classes at my university were all aimed at musicians. I was fascinated, but could not keep up with the music theory. These episodes fill in some of my blank spots. Absolutely fabulous.

I have enjoyed this podcast more than I thought possible. I have always loved classical music and attended two schools where we were given very unusual opportunities even if you were not musician I played the violin very badly because I failed to put in the effort I should have even though I...Read full review »

As a fellow lover of classical music I find this podcast absolutely fantastic. I considered myself to be well versed in the broad variety of the genre, but this series of podcasts has broadened my knowledge. Looking forward to plenty more!

I have learnt so much from these podcasts. I love classical music in general and my phone is full of it, but now it is bursting at the seams from all of the new material Joanna and Stephen have introduced to me. The only criticism I have is the INTERMINABLE adverts! Why or why do these podcasts...Read full review »

I love the conversations between Joanna and Steven but the constant interruptions of adverts is to much. When the pod cast only last for 12 minutes the advert is on three times and the recount of the music played at the end can take longer than the actual conversation between Joanna Steven is to...Read full review »

Eavesdropping on a conversation, hints of the intimacy between two people, teeny tastes of such variety of music. Have re listened already.

There is nothing not to love about this Podcast. Joanna is her usual wonderful, witty, empathetic and charming self, and Stephen is an enthusiastic story teller who really draws you in and takes the pretence out of what could be a rather high brow subject. Really enjoying the conversation between you both. And reassuring to hear that Maestro felt he needed more time with some of Beethoven’s later works in Ep 2. So, it’s not just me.

Such a wonderful pairing for communicating the facts & their love behind the music. Joanna asks the questions with informed naivety that gets the clearest of answers from an obviously gifted musician. An altogether fascinating series.
